So, I noticed something interesting and idk how I feel about it……………
How come… in every major love story…… the character I usually resonate the most with is……… THE POOR SAP?!?!?
WTF!????!?!!?!?
Okay so like in the Notebook, I resonate more with Noah who always knew Allie was the one and while waiting for her, builds this beautiful home for them. In Moulin Rouge, I resonate more with Christian, the writer who — with his ✨ starry eyes ✨ and “Above all things I believe in love!” energy — inspires Satine to choose her heart. In Breakfast at Tiffany’s, I resonate more with Paul, the writer who sees through Holly’s defenses and loves the “mess” underneath the glamour who inspires Holly to finally leave her own cage.
I’m seeing a heavy theme here…
I seem to always be portrayed as that small town “artist” who wears their heart on their sleeve and have nothing to offer but their authenticity and genuine love, which somehow inspires the other to see love differently and choose a different path than the one that was laid out for them. It’s also interesting that often times, the “artist” is portrayed as very very ridiculously non-materially-abundant lol 😬
Is this some type of archetype or something? Is the opposing archetype the materially abundant but caged bird type with the golden handcuffs? And somehow these two archetypes seem to work well together as they balance each other out? I guess it makes sense. A tale as old as time.
I guess it also makes sense because each one of those characters seems to see their materially abundant counterpart fully, not just what they present to be to the outer world. They love their counterpart for who they actually are, the entirety of their being, including their most vulnerable parts that they want to keep hidden from others. Their vulnerability IS what makes them even more lovable. Like… it’s I love you FOR your vulnerabilities not despite them, if that makes any sense.
This also reminds me of the love goggles thing where watching someone run/stay away because they’re overwhelmed by love is actually quite endearing and lovable, not off-putting. Like awww you feel so much love that you need to stay away 🥰 it’s okay, I’ll be here when you’re ready. But then there’s also the tiger thing and idk… now I’m just confused… am I the mousey or are they the mousey? But what if I don’t want to be the prey? What if I want to be the tiger?! 😩😩😩 (*I ponder as I bathe in a vat of butter while snacking on my delicious 🧀 and playing with my minced garlic bubbles*)… Sigh, let’s not go off on that tangent yet… I need to stay focused on this post……… 😔
Well… I REJECT this inadequate and somewhat lacking archetype and propose a new and better one!
I propose the archetype who is humbly down to earth, confidently brave enough to face difficulties, vulnerably expressive, authentically loving, cosmically expansive, imaginatively gifted, both materially and spiritually abundant, and insanely blessed with good fortune!
I propose the TRUST FUND LOVER CHAOS BABY archetype!!!
Doesn’t this sound SO much better? The person who has it all? I think so. I really think so! Next life, I want to come back as that archetype. Got it, Universe? Make it happen. Chop chop!
Anyway, just thought it was funny that I kept finding myself in these poor loving sap’s positions. It’s not even like they’re dirt poor or destitute per se, but compared to their materially abundant counterparts, whose worldly matters are clearly taken care of, they look incredibly poor relatively speaking lol.

I call the green haired one on the left H0rni Lady (her real name is Hoshiguma) cuz she got that giant horn on top of her head. The one in the middle is called W and she’s batsh!t crazy but that’s actually her protective mechanism. And I call the one on the right Tragodia because that’s his alter’s name and I forgot his original name, too bad. Also his alter’s banner is the absolute worst luck I’ve had on any banner in Arknights so far. So, I get to call him whatever I want hehehehehe 😏
I also learned that Tragodia means tragedy. Yeah that’s right, a freaking tragedy for my saved RESOURCES 😤 — that banner was so meannnnn 😭😭😭. It’s okay though, I got RNGesus on my side now that I am speaking the truth unabashedly! Take that!!! 🍀🍀🍀
